Our journey began in 2018, when Chef Balvir Singh Rawat, hailing from the serene mountains of Uttarakhand in Northern India, brought his culinary dreams to life. With over 30 years of experience crafting authentic Indian cuisine, Chef Balvir has honed his skills in some of the finest Indian restaurants across New Zealand for more than 20 years. Fueled by his dedication to preserving the rich heritage of Indian cooking, he teamed up with his son, Birendra Rawat, to open their own restaurant.
Birendra, a Hospitality graduate from India, joined his father in this venture after moving to New Zealand in 2017. Together, they envisioned a place where the essence of India’s diverse culinary traditions would be celebrated in every dish.
