The Indian Tadka restaurant established in 2018 By Chef Balvir singh Rawat who belongs to Uttarakhand (Northern India, in the lap of Himalaya Mountain range. The land is famous for holy worships and the origin of a holy river the Ganga). Chef Balvir has more than 30 years of experience of cooking authentic Indian cuisine. He had been working all around New Zealand since the year 1995. After years of hard work, he has decided to open his own restaurant with his son Birendra Rawat, who came to New Zealand after completing his hospitality graduation degree from India in 2017.

Spinach, cauliflower, potatoes battered in chickpea flour with carom seeds, seasoning, deep-fried, sprinkled with chaat masala and served with tamarind chutney.

Fish pieces marinated in yoghurt, carrom seeds, ginger & garlic cooked in Tandoor served with fresh mint chutney.

Tandoori Prawns (D)

Delicious Prawns (8Pcs) marinated in yoghurt, seasoned, skewered & cooked in tandoor, smoky flavour served with fresh mint chutney.

Tandoori Chicken (Half/Full) (D)

Chicken breast & thighs with bone marinated overnight in special tandoori marination, cooked in clay oven served with fresh mint chutney.

Chicken fillet cooked with onion & capsicum in an onion-based gravy. ginger & garlic, uniquely tempered with coriander seeds and garnished with fresh coriander leaves.

A combination of (fish, prawns & scallops) cooked in roasted onion-based gravy with a touch of cashew nut gravy, coconut cream.

Lamb/Chicken Roganjosh (DF)

An aromatic preparation of Lamb, braised with onion based thick gravy and a blend of spices, flavoured with garlic and ginger, garnished with coriander and ginger

Shahi paneer (D/Nuts)

A royal dish made from Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) cooked in a rich cashew nut-based gravy and garnished with crushed cashew nuts & coriander leaves. Slightly sweet in taste and rich in protein.
